I have the Office CD for my Gateway desktop which crashed and died and was hoping I could use it to install Office on my new Gateway desktop. But when I attempt to install it the system says -- not a Gateway product.
Is the Office CD totally useless except on the old, crashed pc?

Which version of office is it?
Rather than using the auto run feature, you may have to dig in to the cd files and use the actual setup file for the program rather than the gateway setup file.
